FAMAGUSTA - A baby born to a Bulgarian woman, 41, was born dead, authorities have announced.
The woman had been remanded in custody on suspicion of manslaughter and concealing a birth.
She had been was charged in Famagusta General Hospital,but was discharged Thursday and now faces only the charge of conceraling a birth..
The woman, who has been in Cyprus for four months, was taken to hospital by her employer on Saturday suffering from uncontrolled bleeding.
The woman told doctors that she had given birth, but that the baby was dead.
Police visited her home at Sotira where she worked as a farm worker and found the dead baby girl wrapped in towels and sheets, in the dustbin.
