NICOSIA The second lowest temperatures this winter were recorded yesterday in Cyprus, falling as low as 10.1 degrees Celsius, according to the Meteorological Service.
Speaking to CNA, Meteorological Officer Panayiotis Michael said that the lowest temperatures were recorded on January 19, with 9.6 degrees Celsius in Nicosia.
On February 1, temperatures reached in their lowest end -0.7 degrees in Nicosia, 1.1 degrees in Larnaca, 3 degrees in Limassol, 4 degrees in Paphos, -4 degrees in Prodromos and -9 in Olympus, the highest point in the Troodos mountains.
According to Michael, temperatures will rise in the next days, with more rain and snowfalls expected. Snow in Troodos is expected to melt away on Sunday.
