BRUSSELS - Chairman of the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament Hannes Swoboda is visiting Cyprus on Thursday, to take part in a seminar on “The current economic crisis and the response of European Socialists.”
It is organized by socialist Edek party, and Swoboda is also scheduled to hold talks in the afternoon with their leader and House President Yiannakis Omirou.
On Friday morning, the European socialist will leave for Athens, to attend a conference on “The crisis in the South: Time for a progressive response of the South”.
This is organized by Marilena Koppa, head of the delegation of the Greek Socialist Movement PASOK in the European Parliament.
