NICOSIA - Due to heavy snowfall, all roads leading to Troodos are closed to all vehicles.
The Kakopetria – Karvounas and the Pedoulas – Prodromou, Pedoulas - Agios Nikolaos and Prodromou Trooditissa roads are open only to vehicles with snow chains or four-wheel drive.
Moreover, the Kelokedaron - Nata via Zyripilli bridge is closed due to flooding of the river.
The Kelokedaron - Salamiou route is impassable because of landslides. This morning, the police also announced that due to snowfall the Gerakies - Kykkos – Stavros tis Psokas and Macharas – Kioni roads are open only to vehicles equipped with snow chains or four-wheel drive. The Palechori - Agros road is slippery and dangerous due to light snowfall.
