LIMASSOL - An elderly woman’s attempt to clean an outdoor water tank ended in tragedy when she apparently fell in and drowned.
The 86 year-old woman lived alone in Kato Polemidhia and was found by her 55 year-old son who had gone to visit her.
Police believe that the unfortunate woman may have lost consciousness and fell head-first into some 40cm of water.
They have ruled-out foul play and an autopsy will be carried out tomorrow (Wednesday).
