NICOSIA -- APOEL rejoined Anorthosis and AEK in first place after an easy 4-1 win over Ayia Napa at home on Monday evening, with Aldo Adorno clinching another hat trick to entrench his place as top scorer in the league with 11 goals.
The home side came to game boosted by an 8-1 rout over Chalkanoras in the Cup mid week, and easily dominataed play, scoring their first goal in the 8th minute. The Paraguayan stiker made it two with a header in the 24th minute before scoring his third in the 33rd. Gustavo Mantouka netted the fourth goal with a penalty won by Adorno in the 44th minute. Ayia Napa was gifted a goal in the last few minutes after an own goal by Kloukowski.
This was the Nicosia's side seventh victory and puts them top on goal difference from Anorthosis and AEK. All three are equal on 22 points
