LARNAKA - Cyprus is expected to attract an increased number of tourist arrivals in 2013, Minister of Communications and Works Efthymios Flourenzou said on Saturday.
"The newly established direct flights between Cyprus and Ukraine as well as bookings made so far from Russia and Britain justify our optimism," he also said.
The Minister visited Larnaka Airport where he was briefed about the flights and arrivals in both Larnaka and Pafos Airports.
Asked on what data he bases his optimism, the Minister said: “on the bookings already made in Russia”.
Another positive development is the direct flights between Cyprus and Ukraine which will begin soon but also the indications from the British market.
