LARNACA  - An elderly woman has died in a car accident in Larnaca. The accident took place in the Kamares area of the town Sunday evening, when a car driven by Chloe Farmakidou, 79, from Larnaca, entered the opposite lane and collided with a vehicle driven by a 57-year-old Limassol man with his 51-year-old wife as passenger. Police believe that the elderly woman may have suffered a heart attack. A post mortem will be carried out today.
The Limassol couple received first aid and were released. The road was closed for more than an hour as the wreckage was cleared.
