TROODOS - Three people were arrested Sunday for illegal possession and transportation of freshly killed mouflon - a protected animal.
Police say they stopped a car on the Troodos – Nicosia road at around 6pm Sunday containing three men aged 30, 40 and 50..
A search of the vehicle uncovered a bag containing freshly killed mouflon as well as a wooden walking stick and 161 full cartridges.
The three occupants of the vehicle were arrested.
