 NICOSIA – There will be no letup in the chill affecting the island until Thursday at the soonest, according to the weathermen.
Temperatures will remain 5 to 6 degrees below normal for the time of year until then when they will start to slowly increase.
Meteorological Officer Panayiotis Georgiou said that Tuesday's maximum temperatures will be 9C inland, 11C on the coast and in the 2C in highest mountains.
Today and tomorrow there is a chance of isolated showers and light snow in the mountains.He said that the weather was due to a cold air mass from the northwest affecting Greece and the rest of the region.
