NICOSIA- Police investigations into the alleged mugging of a company employee who says he was approached in a Nicosia municipal car park on Tuesday and robbed of €10,000 in company money.
The employee of the Limassol-based business told the police was approached while on his way back to his car at around 5.40pm on Tuesday. He said a man, who he believes to be a foreigner, offered to sell him perfumes and that a second man almost immediately came up behind him, slung a rope around his neck and began to choke him, causing the employee falling to ground, unconscious.
Coming to, he found that his shoulder bag—containing the €10,000 belonging to the company—had been taken.
The employee has described the first man as being of regular build, between 1.65-1.70m tall, around 30-35 year-old and wearing a red short-sleeve shirt and jeans. He was not able to describe the second attacker
