NICOSIA - Over 50.000 tourists from Switzerland will be visiting Cyprus this year, marking an increase of 8-10% from those in 2012, the Cyprus Tourism organization said on Friday.
“According to all indications, the good number of Swiss visitors recorded in 2012 will continue in 2013 since an increased of 8-10% is also expected,” an announcement said.
“This increase is translated to over 50.000 tourist arrivals from the European country – a number marking the best ever results over the past decade,” it added.
The per capita spending of Swiss tourists is by far higher to the average spending of recent visitors here, CTO also said.
