LARNACA - A Romanian has been extradited from his home country to Cyprus in connection with a €100,000 robbery. The offence occurred in the Mazotos area of Larnaca in December 2012 when a 60-year-old man was allegedly beaten and the cas taken. One man, a Romanian was arrested but another managed to flee and was traced on a European arrest warrant to Romania from where two police officers collected him this week. He is expected to face a court soon. His alleged colleague has already been jailed for two years for the offence. A Greek Cypriot who is believed to have helped th man escape is being sought.
