ATHENS - President Anastasiades starts his talks Monday morning on his first visit to Greece since his election victory. He is accompanied by Finance Minister Michalis Sarris, Government Spokesman Christos Stylianides, Under Secretary to the President Constantinos Petrides and Cyprus Ambassador Iosif Iosif.
The President, who will hold consultations with the Greek leadership, was warmly greeted at the airport by Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, FM Dimitris Avramopoulos and Government Spokesman Simos Kedikoglou.
Anastasiades begins his contacts Monday morning with a meeting with representatives of the Federation of Cypriot Organisations in Greece (OKOE).
He will then meet Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament Evangelos Meimarakis and President Karolos Papoulias. Meeting with the Greek Premier is scheduled for 12.30 local time which will be followed by statements to the press. In the afternoon the President will hold meetings with the political parties.
President Anastasiades and his entourage return home Monday evening.
