AYIA NAPA - Cyprus police have ruled out the possibility that missing girl Madeleine McCann may have been spotted in Ayia Napa.
They traced the girl seen to an elementary school in the town. Police took the witness who saw her, and he confirmed that it was the same girl, who is British.
The girl does not have the characteristic mark in her eye that Madeleine has.
Madeleine disappeared while on holiday with her family in the Algarve in 2007. There have been numerous sightings around the world but none have proved genuine.
