NICOSIA - A 7-month-old baby boy has died in the intensive care unit of the Makarios Hospital where he was being treated for fever and pneumonia.
The child, born with a heart defect had already been treated at the Onassis cardiology centre in Athens. He contracted flu on his return and it developed badly due to his state of health and he was taken to Larnaca hospital and then to Nicosia. He died on Wednesday from acute respiratory distress syndrome.
