 NICOSIA - The Governor of the Central Bank said in a statement that the legislation before the House needed to be voted urgently. If this did not happen this would raise the spectre of bankruptcy.
Panicos Demetriades said it was necessary that the legislative tools were available to deal with the crisis effectively. This would also send an important message abroad, he added.
