WARSAW — Two women traveling on a bus in northern Poland grabbed the wheel and brought it under control after it crossed to the opposite lane when the driver passed out.

Bus CCTV footage of the incident Thursday near the town of Kiezmark shows the driver sway off his seat. A woman screaming "can anyone drive?" grabs the wheel, and another woman helps her. A man then manages to bring the bus to a halt.

Head of bus owner PKS Gdansk, Piotr Topolewicz said the women prevented a major crash, and probably saved the 20 passengers. The driver was unhurt but was hospitalized for tests.

Local police spokeswoman Marzena Szwed-Sobanska said that the bus did collide with a passenger car, but no one was hurt.
