Summer is here, and the golden beaches of Protaras beckon once more. This year, the area has another attraction in the shape of the recently renovated Yianna Marie restaurant. Bursting with an abundance of new gastronomic ideas and rich tastes, it also offers an amazing view of the endless blue sea. Culinary delights, lovingly prepared by the chef, are ready to refresh you after a long day at the beach, or during a romantic dinner after sunset. The taverna-restaurant is located in the hotel of the same name, in the heart of the Protaras tourist area, where the pedestrian walkway begins.
The Yianna Marie restaurant has already earned its place among the ‘in’ dining spots of Protaras, due to the warm welcome and exceptional level of service it offers, as well as its distinct blending of a modern approach with traditional values.  Various menus are on offer, depending on the time of day, ensuring that all appetites and palates are in for a treat.
For a cold dish, we suggest the Monte Elias Salad, made with the freshest greens, pineapple cubes, orange slices, pomegranate and lemon sauce. For seafood, the Mussels Provencal are not to be missed, made with tomato, herbs, white wine and a touch of garlic, and we also highly recommend that you try the Jumbo King Prawns in a sweet and sour sauce.  As a main dish, the ‘Seafood Combo’ is an inspired choice, containing squid, prawns, mussels, salmon and swordfish.  If you are going for lunch and prefer a more traditional fish meze, you won’t find better value for money, with a variety of fresh seafood at €20.95 per person. And, of course, all accompanied by a superb wine from the extensive wine list.

Why should I go:
Because it is an ideal venue for a family outing, but also for young crowds looking for a good meal.

How much I will pay:
For a fish meze, around €20.95 per person, while for the traditional Cypriot meat meze, €13.50 per person.

Extra tip:
The Yianna Marie restaurant also offers a children’s menu, providing healthy options for the younger, pickier eaters.
