The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra will perform ‘Apocalypse’ under the baton of Michalis Economou at Strovolos Municipal Theatre on Thursday, January 26.
The 8.30pm concert will include works by Α. Pärt with ‘Fratres,’ Savvas Savva with ‘Apocalypse (Symphony No. 4)’ which was awarded in the CySO Foundation Composition Competition 2010 for the 50th anniversary of the Republic of Cyprus and lends its name to this series of concerts, and Beethoven’s ‘Symphony No. 2 in D major, Op. 36.’
There is a €12 entrance fee (reduced to €7 for 18-26 year-olds and pensioners) and with free entrance for those aged under 18. .
The concert will be repeated in Larnaca on Friday, January 27 and in Limassol on Saturday, January 28.
