Cyprus Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Alkis Baltas and featuring baritone Ivan Lulow- replacing flu-stricken Tassis Christoyannis- will perform works by English composers at the Markideon Theatre from 8.30pm on Friday, March 16.
The evening will include performances of E. Elgar’s ‘Sospiri, Op. 70’ and ‘Chanson de Matin, No. 2, Op. 15,’ R. V. Williams’s ‘Songs of Travel,’ H. Purcell’s ‘The Married Beau, Suite Z 603 (arr. G. Holst),’ B. Britten’s ‘Soirées Musicales, Op. 9,’ and Arn. Malcolm’s ‘Four Scottish Dances, Op. 59.’
Available from the theatre box-office, tickets are priced at €12 and €7 (18- 26 years old and pensioners.) There is free entrance for children and students under 18 years old.
