French-Cypriot pianist Cyprien Katsaris, described as one of the greatest pianists of all time, will be performing at the Rialto in Limassol on Sunday, April 8 at 8.30pm.
His programme will include works by Bach, Schubert, Chopin and Liszt. The music of Liszt and Chopin are particularly close to him and in 1992, Japanese TV produced with Katsaris, a thirteen programme series on Chopin including master-classes and his own performances. In March 2006, he was the first pianist ever to give master-classes in Liszt’s Weimar house since the great composer himself had taught there in 1886.
